Hello friends! I hope this Advent finds you well and you have been able to slow down and prepare to make more room for Christ this Christmas.
We recently had a good friend take our family photos. After seeing the sweet pictures he took of our children it made me really contemplate Christ as a child.
What was His favorite thing to do?
What did His smile look like?
Or His eyes?
And did He giggle when tickled?
Did He tickle back?
Advent is one of my favorite seasons. It’s a time we delve deeper into the mystery of the Incarnation, The coming of Jesus Christ through Grace, while also preparing ourselves for the coming of Our Lord in glory, when He comes to judge the living and the dead.
This season we prepare to make room for a most loving God, who humbled Himself and became small, that of a babe. As St. Thérèse said,
“A God who became so small, could only be mercy and love.”
Let’s prepare a place for Him by examining our hearts and see how we can love Him more, just like that of a child, with complete trust and surrender.
